Samsung working on a pop-up selfie camera phone with a triple rear camera: report

The name of the Samsung smartphone with a pop-up camera was not revealed.

 

Samsung appears to be working with a pop-up selfie camera on its first smartphone, a report has indicated. Although the name of the smartphone has not been revealed in the report, the rumored Samsung phone is estimated to be part of the company’s ‘Galaxy A’ series lineup. At the moment, there is no word on the under-the-hood features or pricing of Samsung smartphones. It is also important to note that Samsung has not confirmed the development of this smartphone and, therefore, it is advisable to take the information with a pinch of salt.

According to Pictou’s report in collaboration with Onlix, the rumored Samsung phone will come with a pop-up selfie camera with triple cameras on the back. From the alleged renders published on the website, we can see the pop-up selfie camera on the top-left side of the smartphone, Samsung working on a pop-up just like the OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7T Pro. The camera details of the smartphone have not been revealed in the report.

Along with the pop-up camera, the alleged renders of Samsung phones show the phone in black color with thin bezels and slight curl edges. It also has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Additionally, there is a USB Type-C port on the bottom right with a mic and a speaker grill on the left. Samsung working on a pop-up Finally, we can see the Samsung logo under the back panel. The report also states that the rumored Samsung phone is likely to have a 6.5-inch display. The smartphone has no details about RAM, processor, or memory.

This is not the first time Samsung is rumored to be working with a pop-up selfie camera on a phone. Last year, a report indicated that Samsung would introduce pop-up functionality with the Samsung Galaxy A90 smartphone. But in September, the South Korean tech giant launched the Samsung Galaxy A90 5G with a waterdrop-notch and a Samsung working on a pop-up. Notably, in April 2019, Samsung launched the Galaxy A80. The phone featured a rotating camera setup that gives the smartphone an almost bezel-less display experience.

As mentioned earlier Samsung working on a pop-up is yet to announce the development of this smartphone with a pop-up camera. More details are expected in the coming weeks.
