P 40 pro plus: here’s what’s new in Huawei’s flagship smartphone
Huawei’s flagship P40 Pro Plus has monster specifications and Penta-lens camera system – here’s what’s new in the flagship smartphone.
Huawei is back in the news but not for controversial reasons this time. The Chinese tech giant launched its P40 series at a live stream unveiling on YouTube on Thursday. The new series consists of three premium smartphones but the device, which made headlines, was the P40 Pro Plus.
It is the most expensive smartphone in the company’s P40 lineup, priced at 1399 Euros (Rs 1, 15224). The top-end smartphone has a total of five cameras that boasts 50MP wide-angle lens, 10x optical zoom and supports up to 100x digital zoom. The smartphone lacks Google’s services, thanks to U.S. trade restrictions last year. Instead, Huawei’s phone ships with its app store, AppGallery.
Despite the lack of Google Maps and YouTube, Huawei feels that the P40 Pro Plus could challenge both the iPhone 11 Pro Max and the Galaxy S20 Ultra. The flagship phone is set to release on April 7.

The P40 Pro Plus has a 50MP f/1.9 wide-angle camera.

Further, the P40 Pro Plus has also received a rapid refresh rate of up to 90Hz, compared with 60Hz for the P30 Pro, meaning the game will run butter smoother. The P 40 Pro Plus has a display of 90Hz.
